At Riverside Dental, PC, your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance. To ensure your health and the health of our staff, we do follow usual universal precautions in our operatories and office. Additionally, every half hour to an hour we wipe down the waiting room and common spaces with disinfectant.
For the protection of all our patients and staff due the recent outbreak of coronavirus, we are requesting the following:
- If you have an illness or are exhibiting symptoms, we recommend you cancel and reschedule your dental appointment. Some illness and symptoms include:
- a cold or the flu
- fever or nausea
- severe headaches or body aches
- muscle or stomach pain, chest pain or difficulty breathing
- vomiting or diarrhea
- active tuberculosis (TB)
- mumps, measles, chickenpox
- other contagious disease
- Please notify our staff before your appointment if you have been exposed to someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution.
The following is a the list of our precautions we have added due to COVID-19:
Patient's are asked to call the office if experiencing any of the above mentioned symptoms on the confirmation message.
Only 4 chairs for waiting patients: 2 in office 6 ft apart, 2 located outside the glass wall 6 ft apart
All patients/staff must wear a mask upon arrival to enter the office and continue to wear while moving to and from treatment rooms.
Upon entering patient/staff are asked to sanitize hands, temperature checked and confirm no changes since confirmation regarding Covid - 19 symptoms.
All doors remain open during office hours to limit surface contact.
Patient will be asked to rinse with a selected mouth rinse (iodine rinse or peroxyl) for 30 sec. once seated in the treatment chair.
In addition the following systems have been added to our usual universal precautions:
Office is thoroughly cleaned nightly and fogged with hypochlorous acid known to kill many viruses including corona virus.
Air purifiers placed between operatories with 5 layer carbon/Hepa filter.
AC unit filters replaced with premium filters with FDR rating of 10+.
All surfaces are sanitized multiple times throughout the day and barriers used to cover any areas the might get contaminated.
Plexiglas now separates the patient from office staff upon check in/check out.
New suction system with funnel used during hygiene cleanings proven to suck in vapors as they are released. The sound can be that of a vacuum however we do have earplugs if one desires.
All magazines and unnecessary items have been removed from counters, rooms etc.

The staff will be equipped with disposable gowns,N95 mask with another mask covering it,eye coverings including use of face shields in hygiene, head coverings, and office use only shoes.
We are doing everything possible to keep the staff and our patients as safe as humanly possible. We want you to know that we take the pandemic seriously and have implemented these procedures to make everyone as comfortable being here as possible.
